The Kn Book cutting boards, designed by Roberto Vaia for KnIndustrie, take their cue from the reflections of the novel Kn by Carlo Belli, considered the Italian manifesto of abstractionism, in which one aspires to create an art that is a symbol of a new order that detaches itself from figurative art, rejecting the concept of reality, and extends to other fields, such as music, painting and architecture. The choice of this volume as a source of inspiration is not accidental: as in abstract art there is an illusory perception of reality, so the new Kn Books take on the appearance of books to hide the function of cutting boards. Like real books, even the Kn Books have the title KN engraved on the back with different styles. The collection, with clean and clear lines, is composed of three cutting boards made of three different types of wood: Canaletto Walnut, Oak and Ash, joined together by a fabric strap, to be displayed in the kitchen as decorative elements until the moment of their real use. Dimensions: 27 cm (W) x 17,6 cm (D) x 2,5 cm (H).
